Fred Westcott, EA

Fred Westcott is an honors graduate of both the University of Southern California and Indiana University graduate schools, taking a masters degree from both institutions in the application of information systems to business management.  He continues his studies as both a doctoral candidate in business administration and as an adjunct professor for business ethics and tax accounting at the graduate level.  After a stint as a professor in the graduate school of Indiana University teaching CPA and MBA candidates about management information systems, in 1983 he took his financial consulting skills overseas where he spent 25 years helping clients build businesses and over two dozen charitable foundations.

His private consulting practice quickly focused on the unique tax situation of overseas Americans, both those who had retired overseas and those who took their American entrepreneurial energy into countries where it prospered.  Fred Westcott and Associates quickly became the company to come to when you needed ta and personal financial planning.  Pro bono work becomes obvious when poverty surrounds you, so clients ranged from street-side vendors to US Ambassadors, from one person businesses to multinationals, and from family foundations to international agencies.

After passing all three of the difficult exams for the Enrolled Agent designation on the first attempt in 2006, he started a public accounting and taxation analysis firm, Fred Westcott EA, to bring his extensive experience with developing small businesses and achieving the personal goals of the owners to local clients.  He retains his position as executive director of the Rudder Foundation and now provides tax and financial planning counseling to the age 55+ communities of the Beaumont-Banning area on a pro bone basis.
